Colder weather tends to expose problems with car batteries. It’s the nature of the chemical reaction that takes place inside of your battery, that it generates more electricity when the battery is warm. So it is the morning after a cold winter night when car owners often find out that the battery is not up to task. 

If your car experiences slow crank, or has difficulties starting after a cold night, or the lights seem dimmer than usual, it may be time to call us to perform battery testing. Once we test the battery, we will know if it can hold a charge, or if it needs to be replaced. If the battery testing indicates that the battery can hold the charge well, we may have to investigate other parts of the electrical system, like performing some alternator troubleshooting, to figure out why the battery charge has diminished.
